What you’ll hear on today’s show

Bellingham, Washington residents expressing their unhappiness and anger toward Canadian cross border shoppers and what they say is rude and aggressive Canadians who snap up product, leave wrapping lying around, are aggressive drivers and refuse to queue for product. We’ll speak with four Bellingham residents (one lived in Toronto) and a Vancouverite and take your calls. Canadians, btw have fired back that they are often not well received in the U.S. (generally).

A Quebec Mayor slams newcomers to Canada as wanting to change traditions and takes particular aim at a Parti Quebecois candidate. We’ll talk to the Mayor and find out if he’s willing to apologize as the PQ leader Pauline Marois has demanded.
Brent Tyler, Montreal lawyer will speak to this and repeat his expectation that Canadians in the rest of Canada should show some real concern for Anglophone and other Quebeckers who don’t want to see Quebec separate from Canada. Last time Brent was on the show with PQ member Nino Colavecchio there weren’t many callers who had much sympathy for Brent’s view. Should you? My view also as a Quebec resident is that Anglophones in the province has turtled on the language and other issues.

We’ll get at the NHL/NHLPA impass on a CBA (so far). Is the season in jeopardy? Mark Yost writes on the business of sport for the Wall Street Journal and Sports Illustrated and is a good friend of the show. He’s also the author of many sports and business of sport related books.

Could a Luka Magnotta copycat killer be on the loose in the Toronto area? Criminal profiler Pat Brown joins us. She’s also the author of a new book “How to Save Your Daughter’s Life”.

And Kathy is a Toronto area single Mom who sent an email that her ex-husband lives in a million dollar home, has a home in the U.S., owns companies, but pays himself only $35,000 annually. He’s persuaded a family court judge to lower child support payments to reflect that $35,000 salary and Kathy is outraged and financially challenged. We’ll talk about that case with B.C. family lawyer Scott Taylor (underappeal.com) and take calls on the issues of custody, support and access.

Some of what’s on today’s show.
