Yesterday I was in receipt of an email I would never have expected. It was a note which you always expect to read about other people receiving and not one which affects you directly. Sorry I’m being so vague at the moment, but I promise to be very specific about the situation, perhaps as soon as this weekend’s programs.
After our home fire I wrote that fire trucks always stop at someone else’s home, not at yours and that is how we generally view this reality and fortunately for most people that is the way the situation plays itself out for life.
Four weeks to the day of our home fire this most unexpected email arrived and as destructive as the fire was, the email proved to be a truly wonderful and positive experience. No not an inheritance if that’s what you’re thinking. It is something far more significant than being remembered profitably in someone’s will.
I will be following up the email with phone calls this week and should be able to share the entire story with you Saturday or Sunday.
Let the guessing begin…..I guess. Or, just wait for the details.
