Inauguration weekend for Donald Trump and we’ll have voices from Washington. Also, Kevin O’Leary joins us, now officially pursuing the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada and gig of Prime Minister. (The knives were out immediately). And remember, we want to speak with Prime Minister Trudeau? Read on below.

I’ll be speaking with Kevin O’Leary Friday and playing back the half hour interview this weekend.

You’d think Mr. O’Leary would be granted a grace period of perhaps 24 hours to make his case for leader of the CPC before the blunt knives of politics were heaved in the general direction of his belt buckle. Not in today’s world mes amis.

The fear on the left is so great of another possible Trumpian success that anyone without the word ‘progressive’ somewhere in his or her biography (auto or not) is deemed a right wing sloth about to drag an enlightened society into a battle with ultimate evil.

Overstated?  Maybe, but not by much.

It’s almost poetic, eh?  Donald Trump about to be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States (high pitched shrieking of the left notwithstanding) and Canadian business “Dragon” Kevin O’Leary making it official that Justin Trudeau’s knowledge of economics, basic math and well, pretty much everything else, will become the focus of his (O’Leary’s) disaffection.  First, though, the small matter of shoving aside the rest of the pretenders to the Conservative Party’s throne.

The blunt knives have already slashed at KOL’s business acumen, his lack of empathy and utter narcissism.  Hello?  Is Kevin O’Leary posting and posing for selfies?

You’ll have the opportunity to hear Kevin O’Leary deal with my questions and pass judgment on his answers.  On previous occasions KOL was my guest listener response was very positive and supportive.

We’ll also have a number of guests joining us from Washington, D.C. where they’ll be observing the inauguration of the 45th president of the United States, Donald John Trump.  It’ll be a noisy, cacophonous event as various and sundry whiners from the outposts of utopia descend on Washington, slogans emblazoned on t-shirts, marching and chanting (howling) their opposition to 30 of 50 states voting Mr. Trump into the oval office. In the end Donald Trump will be in the White House and his opponents won’t be.

One of my guests will in fact be joining us from a protest march. Another, an American politician and Washington resident, has been a supporter of Donald Trump since his campaign for the White House was first launched.

And…I’ve been in touch with the Prime Minister’s (ours) Office and specifically the media office with our request for an interview with Justin Trudeau.  And guess what! They replied by email …and by phone.  Tell you that story and will you read you the email I sent the PMO.  And yes, I told them about the contribution to the PM’s favourite charity we’re prepared to make.  Can’t wait to hear your views on what I wrote.

Be sure to join us. It won’t be a dull weekend.
